About Me
Born Glasgow, Scotland. Currently living in Streatham Hill, London.
In 1996 I sustained a back injury and was told I'd never run
again. I ran my first marathon in April 2004, followed by my
first triathlon, and it's become a major part of my life. I ran
two marathons and a triathlon in 2004 and three marathons and a
triathlon in 2005, and a marathon in each of 2006 and 2007. My
best marathon time is 03:47:39 – pretty good for someone who'd
'never run again'! Always seek a second opinion, and never give
up hope – the human body has an extraordinary capacity for
healing. See Health &
Endurance for advice.
I also do a bit of Magic* and Scuba (PADI Advanced Open
Water), and (lately) some skydiving.
